MSU’s attorneys are experienced in drafting and negotiating complex documents, examining and certifying title to real estate and issuing title insurance policies. MSU attorneys also handle title clearing matters including servicing national title insurance companies.

In addition, MSU represents homeowners and lenders (including private lenders) in residential mortgage transactions. The firm is an agent for First American Title Insurance Company as well as Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company and frequently works with other major national title insurance companies.

MSU attorneys work closely with professional planners, engineers, architects and wetlands scientists in the pursuit of real estate development permits and approvals. We frequently appear before reviewing agencies and work closely with municipal officials behind the scenes to ease the burdens associated with land use in New England. We are often called upon by our clients to assist in the due diligence analysis that typically occurs as our clients analyze the development opportunities of particular properties.

MSU’s residential and commercial landlord-tenant practice involves the representation of owners and managers of real estate. The firm provides advice on day-to-day operational matters, drafts leases, subleases and related documentation and represents property owners in evictions.
